Siargao the Philippines

Our last stop in the Philippines was Siargao island located in the northern Mindanao. It’s another paradise island! This tropical island has the most palm trees per capita of all of the 7641 Philippine islands.

Cloud 9. The famous surfing spot. Siargao is a paradise for surfers.

Kermit ended up being our favorite restaurant in General Luna. Delicious lava cake…

The bent palm tree in Maasin river. For a small fee you can climb up the tree and swing into the river.

Many beautiful beaches on Siargao.

Land tour around the island in this tricycle.

Lokal, a small restaurant in Burgos just passing the surf spot, Pacifico. Absolutely fantastic! These wraps and the home made coconut ice cream… a real treat.

The community market in Burgos.

Alegria beach. We found this to be the best beach on Siargao. A real paradise in the north of the island.

Island hopping is a popular thing to do when visiting Siargao. We visited Daku island, Naked island and Guyam island. This is Daku island which we enjoyed the most with a fantastic lunch made of fresh fish, fruits and vegetables.

This small island is Guyam.

There is a lot of restaurants and small shops in General Luna. Many tourists with a laid back feeling.

We had a great time on Siargao island. We didn’t go surfing, but we had plenty to do anyway. The island has a great vibe. We loved it! The Philippines got so many islands to explore. It was difficult to choose which ones to visit in our limited time. So many more we want to visit and revisit!
