Sri Lanka South Coast
After a couple of days in the Hill Country we went to the south coast of Sri Lanka. We stayed at Talalla Retreat in Talalla. An absolutely wonderful place! An open air hotel with great food and service right on the beach. Quiet place except for some dog fights on the beach at night and the sound of the bread tuktuk signal here and there. A day trip to Galle. A coloninal town about an hour away.
One day we visited Dr. Wijayapala. He is the third in generation working with snakes making anti-serum among other snake related things. He has the garage full of snakes and he is full of knowledge and love for snakes! The girls loved this visit and they were very fascinated by the reptiles.
Other than a couple of day trips here and there we spent a good time at the lovely beach. Never crowded. Non commercial. We loved it. Relaxing.
Lime soda without sugar. The best on a hot day,.!
Geoffrey Bawas country house Lunuganga. Love the architecture and atmosphere. Stunning. We stoped here on our way to Colombo and the airport.
Vista Villa Capers. Our last night in Sri Lanka. Colombo. Before our early flight back home. One door from our room opened straight into the pool!! They have a lovely upstairs patio where we had our last dinner in Sri Lanka.
We had such a great time in Sri Lanka. Met many friendly people. So peaceful!
Can’t believe how the girls have grown. Beautiful. Merry Christmas Anna. Hope 2018 will be a great year for you!
Merry Christmas to you too!!
