Morocco

We spent about a week in Morocco in the month of June. Beautiful weather, not too hot. The first couple of days we stayed at Berber Lodge, a rural retreat, about half an hour south of Marrakech. The lodge is inspired by traditional Berber architecture and is surrounded by a beautiful garden with a pool. Outside the lodge is a stone desert. They serve fantastic food with fresh products from their own organic garden and from the local market. Totally in love with this place!

The village of Oumnass on a walking distance from the lodge.

The making of Argan oil.

We had lunch at Scarabeo Camp in Agafay desert.

After a couple of restful days at the Berber Lodge, we went to Marrakech. A busy city with, as it seemed, never-ending bazaars and souks. Great shopping, but a bit tricky to get the hang of the haggling.

Lunch on the rooftop at Atay Café.

We stayed at Riad Magie, a small riad with a rooftop pool.

Dinner with a sunset at Dardar.

There are so many beautiful places to explore in Morocco. Next time we would like to spend time in the Atlas mountain and on the Atlantic coast. Short, but beautiful trip.
